Auction Rules

Bidding: Your bid (oral, written, or digital) constitutes a contract to buy. Please give thought to your bidding.
Payment: Payment by the successful Live Auction bidder MUST be made at the time of sale to the Auction Staff. If the winning bidder leaves before the Auction checkout, he or she will be contacted the week after the event to arrange payment and pickup of the item. Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover are acceptable forms of payment.
Everything is “As-Is”: All packages are offered by the American Heart Association AS IS and without recourse to the American Heart Association with respect to any defect, injury, damage or other problem that may arise or become apparent with respect to a particular package. The American Heart Association disclaims any and all warranties with respect to each prize, including but not limited to any warranty for a particular purpose. Package winners and guests are responsible for transportation to and from their home(s) airport or other transportation terminal (if any), checked baggage and other additional fees charged by the airline, ground transportation in and around their destination, any hotel expenses other than the cost of the room, and all other expenses incurred in connection with their travel or their stay other than as included in the package description. No substitutions or exceptions.
Expiration: Auction items expire one year from the date of the event unless otherwise specified in their restrictions.
Items Not Claimed: If the item is not paid for and picked up from the American Heart Association office within seven business days, the item will go to the next highest bidder.
Sports/Celebrity Experiences: In the event that a personality the American Heart Association has secured for an auction item is traded or retires, or the team goes on strike and cannot fulfill this appearance, the American Heart Association will work with the respective team to secure a substitute.
Special arrangements for pick-up of oversized items must be made at checkout.
